THUNDERBUCK-Class Tactical Assault Armor

The Thunderbuck armor class was developed immediately following the encounter with a splinter of Hive Fleet Leviathan and the contingent of Ultramarines that pursued it, as the princesses recognized the need for highly advanced protection against exotic threats such as the aforementioned Tyranids. Commissioned in the year 1002 A.N.M, the Thunderbuck utilized knowledge given by the Ultramarines, and is easily the most advanced integrated weapons system ever developed in Equestria. Only the most skilled of the Royal Guard are given the chance to wear a Thunderbuck.

The core goal of the Thunderbuck is to provide maximum protection for the user while retaining mobility and enhancing firepower. As such, it is powered by a crystal cell matrix charged with solar energy personally by Princess Celestia. This power source is capable of sustaining complete armor functionality for over five years without recharging. The armor's internal systems run off of magical crystal constructs of Deerish design, and include movement enhancers, stabilizers, sensors, magical and physical shielding, life-support, healing, self-repair, and spaceproofing.

The armor is a three-stage design, starting with a full-coverage carbon-fiber bodysuit that contains the life support and injury healing talismans. This is followed by the underarmor, built from a light and flexible pegasus cloud-alloy, which contains all the power, protection, and movement systems, and which is perfectly capable of functioning without the overarmor. The overarmor is where it really gets interesting. Built from an alloy shared with the ponies of Equestria by the Ultramarines 2nd Company, the overarmor ranges from 0.5 to 3.5 inches thick, and when combined with the magical shielding and protection enchantments of the underarmor, is fully capable of protecting the wearer from nearly all threats found in Equestria today, and many that are currently not.

The Thunderbuck's helmet contains all sensory, informatic, and communications systems, as well as an integrated automatic telepathic control enchantment that allows the wearer to control all of the armor's functions just by thinking about it. The massive, solid chestpiece contains most of the other crystalline system talismans, and is equipped with several hardpoints for various equipment. The shoulder and flank pieces contain the shield generators, which protect against attacks both magical and physical in nature. The leg armor contains a powered movement enhancer that responds to the wearer's motions and amplifies them. The boots are a unique two-stage design that can absorb vast amounts of momentum, allowing a maximum full-body impact speed well over 60 mph. Because reasons.
